Research. Apply. Document. #7 Controls

Controls

Discipline: UX/Interface Design

Controls give the option to users to adjust, change, or take action for applications. These can be displayed in different ways. An on/off switch, slider, checkbox, and buttons can all be used for controls. The controls make it easy for the user to quickly change settings.

Below the user can use the slide adjustment to adjust the brightness of the screen, and the switch to change to auto-brightness.

The controls for iOS are easy to identify, and all have similar interface. I think it is important when designing an app or web page to stay consistent and make sure the controls have similar designs.
